How long does a typical appointment take?

A standard wellness consultation is 20–30 minutes. Surgical procedures, dental cleanings, and complex diagnostic workups vary in duration — your vet will give you a time estimate when you book.

What should I bring to my pet's first appointment?

Please bring any existing vaccination records, previous vet notes, import health certificates (if applicable), and your Emirates ID. For new puppies and kittens, bring the breeder or adoption paperwork if available.

What vaccinations does my dog or cat need in Abu Dhabi?

Core vaccines for dogs include Distemper, Parvovirus, Adenovirus (DAP), and Rabies. For cats, the core vaccines are FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) and Rabies. Rabies vaccination is also a legal requirement for pet licensing in Abu Dhabi.

Do you perform surgery at the clinic?

Yes. Dr. Mostafa El Masry leads our surgical team and performs a full range of soft tissue procedures including spay and neuter, caesarean sections, ear haematoma repair, eye extirpation, and other interventions. We have in-house digital X-ray and ultrasound to support surgical planning.

Do you offer dental cleaning for pets?

Yes. Professional dental cleaning under general anaesthesia is available. We recommend annual dental assessments for all adult dogs and cats. Signs that your pet may need a dental cleaning include bad breath, difficulty eating, or visible tartar build-up.

Can you help with FIP treatment?

Yes. Dr. Ahmad Waqas has active clinical experience with FIP treatment using GS-441524 protocols. If your cat has been diagnosed with FIP or you suspect it, please contact us to discuss the treatment pathway and monitoring plan.

Is microchipping mandatory in Abu Dhabi?

Does microchipping hurt?

The microchip is implanted via a needle injection under the skin, typically between the shoulder blades. It is similar in sensation to a routine vaccination — brief and well-tolerated by most pets without sedation.

My pet already has a microchip from another country — do I need a new one?

Not necessarily. If the existing chip is ISO 11784/11785 compliant (15-digit), it should be readable in the UAE. We can scan the chip at your first visit and advise whether re-chipping or re-registration is required.

What should I do if my pet has an emergency outside your opening hours?

Our extended hours (until 11:00 PM Thursday through Sunday) cover most evening emergencies. For situations outside our hours, please contact us via WhatsApp and we will advise on the nearest available emergency facility.

Seek immediate care for: difficulty breathing, collapse or loss of consciousness, suspected poisoning or toxin ingestion, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, inability to urinate (especially in male cats), severe vomiting or diarrhoea with blood, or any trauma from a fall or road accident.
